Speaking to resort locations in Vietnam, people would think of Nha Trang, Sa Pa, Da Lat ... But did you ever wonder how these hundreds of years ago, landmarks on looks like yet?

1. Sapa (Lao Cai)
Sa Pa (in French Chapa) has been exploited French resort location since 1915. The name comes from Sa Pa capital Mandarin (Chinese), meaning "sand", the user to indicate sand where people often marketplace.

1920, when the railway Hanoi - Lao Cai completed, Sa Pa become "summer capital" of the North and the favorite retreat of the French colonial authorities. It is estimated that there are nearly 300 French villa built here.

2. Tam Dao (Vinh Phuc)
Tam Dao is known from the French in 1904 after they found Silver Falls at an altitude 912m above the sea. To turn this place into a mountain resort on the French government when it has to build a town for tourism here.

A resort-style architecture in Europe had reigned here.
It is estimated that a total of 163 villas bring European architecture was built in Tam Dao. Within a few years, it became popular tourist destinations for colonial officials.
According to surviving records, Tam Dao climate is pleasant, consistent with the resort trip from June to September.
